Job Description
Journeyman Electrician (with Contractor Licence)
We are looking to add a Journeyman Electrician with Contractor Licence to our staff. You will be responsible for electrical installations with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and maintaining profitability for the company.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' field experience.
- Solid interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Must be strong on all facets of electrical and mechanical repair and service, as well as exceptional troubleshooting, analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and prints; detailed and self-motivated.
- Personal hand tools.
- Be able to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients.
Preferred:
- Industrial, office, warehouse, and commercial kitchen experience.
Work Environment:
- Both inside climate controlled work as well as outside conditions.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, kneel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must utilize safety equipment at all times.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays from time to time.
- Must possess a current driver's license, and clean driving record.
- Subject to a background check prior to employment.
