We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Journeyman Electrician

with proven experience in

traffic signal systems

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic signal installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with commercial or residential wiring experience. This role includes leading a small crew, working at heights, and handling emergency maintenance calls. Willingness to travel or relocate is essential.


Responsibilities:




Install, cable, and terminate traffic signal wiring systems Program, troubleshoot, and maintain traffic signal control cabinets Set steel traffic structures using appropriate rigging and lifting techniques Perform aerial work on bucket trucks or man-lifts for traffic signals and streetlights Troubleshoot and repair streetlight systems Lead and mentor a small crew of 1-2 apprentice electricians or laborers Respond promptly to on-call maintenance or emergency service calls Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Coordinate with supervisors, clients, and other contractors as needed Quality installations with 5 + years' experience as a Traffic Signals Technician

Qualifications:




Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate Experience with traffic signal systems, including: Traffic cabinet programming and troubleshooting Signal wiring, cabling, and terminations Steel structure installation and aerial work Commercial and/or residential wiring experience Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise small crews Ability and willingness to work on the road or relocate as required Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious

Additional Assets:




Master Electrician Certificate (asset) IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II Certification Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts Familiarity with IMSA or MUTCD standards
