Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively in diverse environments.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical installations and repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, ensuring all electrical work meets electrical code. Handle low voltage and high voltage systems as required by project specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Provide maintenance person services as needed, demonstrating versatility across various tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in both the commercial and residential fields. Familiarity with electrical controls is a plus, enhancing your ability to work on integrated projects. Demonstrated ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. Previous construction site experience is highly desirable, showcasing your adaptability to different working conditions. Strong electrical experience with a focus on both low voltage and high voltage systems is required. A background in renovation projects will be beneficial for this role.
