Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and have experience in both industrial and construction environments. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards while performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure timely completion of work. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards.

Skills

Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to electrical systems. Experience as an industrial electrician with a solid understanding of construction practices. Familiarity with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work. Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various repair tasks. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Pay: $29.36-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
