Field Service Technician will perform mechanical and/or electrical service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines that range in power from 0.35 to 4.5 MW and run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases (e.g., biogas, landfill gas). Tasks include but are not limited to commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and overhaul.

Responsibilities:

Execute service on the engines in compliance with the maintenance protocol. For example, checking oil, replacing filters, setting valves, and performing diverse types of measurements.

Carry out planned service and minor repairs on engines, as required.

Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic and mechanical engine symptoms.
/lili
Create service reports that include reason for visit, symptoms, actions, hours, results, and follow-up actions, if required.

Mentor apprentices and support other technicians through information sharing and knowledge transfer.

Successful candidates will have:

Minimum 5 years\' Jenbacher Gas Engine experience.

Have the ability and willingness to drive long distances in compliance with our hours of work policy.

Valid Class 5 driver\'s license and willing to obtain an Alberta specific license.
/lili
Possess well-rounded knowledge of engines, generators, controls, and balance of plant equipment would be considered an asset.

Possess high voltage, non-diesel generator, automation and controls, or PLC controls experience would be considered an asset.

Ability to use computer technology and SAP experience would be considered an asset.
