The ideal candidate will be responsible for Outside Plant (OSP) field data collection in Ontario and surrounding providences. You will visit multiple job locations daily and record and analyze existing field conditions related to Telecom poles, Aerial/Underground structures and Street/Right of Way measurements for future/current fiber designs and equipment locations. With support, you will perform field surveys (ISP/OSP) and take detailed notes/photos/sketch of on-site findings. You will assist Design Specialists by providing detailed feedback of potential cable path and/or site survey. You will conduct utility and right of way research; read and interpret utility plans, DOT records, property / easement data, civil design blueprints, survey documents, or sketches; proofing or comparing the information contained on GIS maps/drawings with information from different sources such as Google Earth, including data and measurements collected from the field. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager in Toronto, Ontario.You must be able to travel up to 90% of the time, often for extended periods of time. Food & lodging will be paid for by the company.
