Penticton and District Society for Community Living (PDSCL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with diverse abilities in Penticton and surrounding communities. We provide support and services for people with intellectual disabilities, seniors, low-income adults, families and persons facing homelessness. PDSCL is looking for a casual Janitor/Dishwasher for our Towers and Chestnut location. We are looking for a casual worker to supplement staff shortage, staff sick or vacation gaps and other scheduling demands. The casual worker can work up to 40 hours per week and keep their schedule flexible or pick up a few shifts per week to supplement their other income. : Under the direction of the head cook, perform routine dishwashing, pot washing, and cleaning. Assist with the non-cooking preparation and distribution of food and beverages. Cleans, washes and disinfects building areas such as walls, windows, ceilings, floor, carpets, air vents, furniture, mattresses, blinds and washrooms by methods such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and wet mopping and more QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education \xe2\x80\x93 Grade 10
• Training and Experience \xe2\x80\x93 6 months of recent related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid CPR/First Aid
• Satisfactory criminal record check-working with vulnerable adults
• Foodsafe Certificate
• TB Skin Test
• Medical clearance
• Covid-19 Vaccine Required
