Job Description
Riverview Motors is seeking qualified candidates as operators for our Trans Island Recovery flatbeds. Individuals must be able to be professional in dealing with the public and work independently while performing tasks. Description: As Tow Truck Operator, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for towing, recovery, repossessions, vehicle transfers, lock outs, and tire flats.
- Maintain a driver\'s log as per provincial guidelines
- Work with office staff and customers in the scheduling of such towing requests.
- Collecting cash payments from towing customers and remitting such to office staff.
- Ensuring tow vehicles are kept clean and organized. Ensuring towing equipment is in good working order.
- Maintain a pre-tow checklist and notifying management of equipment service issues or needed equipment.
- Other duties as determined by the Service Manager to compliment service operations.
- Call in as needed when busy or to provide relief for other driver(s)
- Must possess a valid driver\'s licence with airbrake endorsement
- Able to furnish a driver\'s abstract
- Friendly personality and able to interact well with customers and staff
- Previous experience is essential
