Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a strong commitment to cleanliness and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a clean environment. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate cleaning supplies to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when stock is low.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical safety is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
