Kleen N Shine Cleaning Services

provides commercial and residential cleaning throughout Alberta. We are expanding our commercial portfolio and are seeking an experienced professional who can

source, prepare, and submit competitive janitorial proposals, as well as engage in door-to-door sales to secure new commercial and residential contracts across Alberta.

This role focuses on

winning cleaning contracts through both formal bids and direct client outreach.

Responsibilities:

Monitor procurement portals across Alberta (APC, MERX, Bonfire, City/Municipal Vendor Systems, and property management bid boards). Identify upcoming and active janitorial RFPs, tenders, and quote requests. Review scopes of work, contract specifications, and mandatory requirements. Conduct or coordinate site walkthroughs to calculate labour hours, frequencies, consumables, and staffing plans. Build pricing schedules, labour estimates, equipment & material costing. Prepare proposal packages including service delivery plans, company profile, safety compliance, and references.

Conduct door-to-door sales to generate new business opportunities for commercial and residential cleaning.

Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, follow up on leads, and close contracts.

Submit bids accurately and on deadline, and track results. Maintain organized records of bid documents, pricing files, sales activity, and awarded contracts.
Qualifications:

Experience preparing janitorial, facility maintenance, or service contract bids (preferred). Ability to read scope of work documents and calculate realistic labour hours. Familiarity with vendor portals such as APC, MERX, Bonfire, City Vendor Portals, etc. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines. Comfortable conducting walkthroughs with property/facility managers.

Proven sales experience, particularly in door-to-door or direct client acquisition.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Compensation:

$25/hr to start (based on experience) Contract Win Bonuses Mileage reimbursement for walkthroughs and sales visits
Work Schedule:

Approximately 20-30 hours per week Flexible hours - workload varies depending on bid deadlines and sales activity Hybrid role: work from home to prepare bids and proposals, with on-site walkthroughs and door-to-door client visits as needed Some weeks heavier during active tenders or sales campaigns, some lighter
