Job Description

Jackman Eye Institute is looking for a full time Diagnostic Technician in a busy office to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for our patients undergoing eye treatments. The focus is for our patients to feel welcomed, be comfortable and feel confident while receiving high-quality, life changing vision care.
What you will be doing:

• Complete preoperative exams and retrieve prescription from patients\xe2\x80\x99 glasses as well as explaining the exam\xe2\x80\x99s function to patients clearly.
• File, retrieve, scan and consult patient charts and electronic files as needed.
• Update the appointment software to reflect the completion of each patient\xe2\x80\x99s exam, adding notes if necessary.
• Complete appropriate paperwork in patient charts, consulting with other team members for a second opinion if necessary.
• Ensure work area is stocked with supplies

What you will bring:

• Previous experience in working in a medical clinical environment is an asset
• Experience in customer service/client care role
  
• Capable of multi-tasking and excellent sense of organization
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional environment
• The position requires movement through out the entire shift while remaining standing or in a stationary position
