How will you contribute?

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Director General\'s Office (PSD-DGO) who provides leadership and strategic direction for the Property and Services Directorate (PSD).

In this role, you will be responsible for providing confidential, operational, and administrative support to the Director General, their management, and the broader PSD work environment. You will facilitate communication and information exchange between PSD and other directorates as well as assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring that goals and objectives are met within the agreed-upon scope, timeframe, and budget.

You will also play a key role in coordinating and supporting project meetings, staffing actions, and other events, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and tracking action items.

The general public to staff one (1) indeterminate position (full-time) within the Property and Services Directorate (PSD).

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites

  • High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or related work experience;
  • Minimum three (3) years\' experience providing administrative support in an office environment, offering services such as writing formal correspondence, briefing materials and reports, formatting documents, organizing and scheduling meetings and managing electronic filing systems;
  • Experience dealing with senior officials and/or parliamentarians;
  • Proficient in MS365, including SharePoint, OneNote, and the broader MS Office Suite;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages;
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate and manage competing priorities and timelines;
  • Knowledge of finance and procurement processes and/or Unit4 software is considered an asset.
