About Zaag'idiwin Naaknigewin:
Zaag'idiwin is a newly established organization dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of Saugeen First Nation children and families and building capacity to operationalize Saugeen's child wellbeing law, Zaag'idiwin. Saugeen children and families are at the core of who we are - they are our most valuable resources. We believe it is our collective responsibility as Saugeen to care for one another.
Position Summary:
The IT/IM Agent will support the organization's digital infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for all information technology and information management systems. This position will play a key role in maintaining IT hardware and software, providing technical support to staff, assisting with systems implementation and troubleshooting, and supporting data governance and cybersecurity practices aligned with cultural and organizational values.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide front-line IT support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, mobile devices, and other equipment
Assist in onboarding and offboarding new employees by ordering, setting up devices, accounts, and access to systems
Maintain and monitor security protocols, backups, and anti-virus programs
Support information management practices, including document control and data storage systems (e.g., SharePoint)
Troubleshoot connectivity, software compatibility, and device performance issues
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend replacements/upgrades as needed
Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to staff on effective use of hardware, software and IT systems. Offer hands on training sessions, one-on-one technical guidance, and trouble shooting assistance.
Collaborate with departments to assess training needs and develop customized learning solutions that improve IT proficiency.
Work collaboratively with external IT consultants or vendors as required
Maintain confidentiality and ensure data protection protocols are followed at all times
Provide culturally respectful support to all team members
Other related duties as assigned to support the operational success of Zaag'idiwin Child and Family Services
Qualifications:
Post-secondary diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
Experience supporting Windows OS, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and mobile devices
Familiarity with SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and network administration
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot under pressure
A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (or willingness to obtain)
Assets:
Experience working in a First Nation or Indigenous organization
Knowledge of Anishinaabe culture, language, and traditions
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
