We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network security, and ensuring seamless operation of IT systems across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications such as Microsoft Office.
Assist users with network connectivity issues, including LAN setup and troubleshooting firewall configurations.
Manage and resolve service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy ticketing systems.
Support VPN connectivity and ensure secure remote access for users.
Maintain and support computer networking infrastructure including LANs and firewalls.
Perform software troubleshooting and assist with operating system updates or reinstallation as needed.
Support help desk operations by providing excellent customer service and clear communication to end-users.
Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
Collaborate with team members on projects involving system upgrades or new technology implementations.
Skills
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware components and peripherals.
Familiarity with IT support tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for ticket management.
Ability to troubleshoot software issues within various operating environments.
Knowledge of network security practices including firewall configuration and VPN setup.
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users with technical issues.
Experience supporting desktop support tasks in a help desk environment.
Familiarity with remote support tools and remote desktop applications. This role is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about technology support
