OVERVIEW





The IT Systems Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of all IT-related operations within the company, both locally and remotely. The role will primarily focus on maintaining technologies, IT equipment and hardware most efficiently. Other duties include providing support for multiple software systems such as Windows 10 and Office 365 suite, and other in-house programs. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset, problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and an ability to influence and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES





Install, configure, and maintain system hardware and software throughout the company Assess, diagnose, and resolve IT system and equipment performance issues Create and manage service requests and incidents from staff through the online ticketing system Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues via phone, remotely, and in person Provide technical guidance, support, and training to staff Oversee the performance of LANs, WANs, the Internet, and other network segments Repair printers, laptops, desktops, and other PC hardware equipment Conduct onsite training for clients as required Assist with ongoing employee desk position changes, additions, and changes to computer requirements Identify and suggest possible improvements to current IT procedures Creating technical SOPs and troubleshooting guides Create user accounts, reset passwords, add and remove computers from the Active Directory Cell phone distribution to employees and provide ongoing support Monitor systems to identify potential errors and areas for improvement Provide satellite office support to multiple locations
Assist with other IT-related duties as assigned Needs to be able to lift 50-70lbs occasionally



DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS





High School Diploma or GED required Post-secondary education in Technology or equivalent work experience 2+ years' experience in an IT role is preferred; however, we will consider training the right candidate Strong technical aptitude Basic understanding of Windows servers and networking Knowledge and understanding of Office 365 management, Exchange Online, Microsoft Active Directory, and Intune Knowledge of and proficient in all Microsoft programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot advanced day-to-day computer technical issues Excellent communication skills are required as this is a user-facing role Multitasking capabilities with shifting priority levels Must be available to work some evenings and weekends as deemed necessary Ability to travel out of province to other office locations occasionally Continuous learning and training abilities Strong research skills, proficiency with current technologies, and their various applications
Ability to generate, use, and understand formulas, charts, and graphs * Excellent problem-solving skills required, with the ability to "think outside the box"
