Hybrid - 3 days/week In-Office in Downtown Toronto, ON
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
IT Systems Manager
for a permanent, full-time role. This role will lead key infrastructure initiatives, help oversee a hybrid cloud/on-prem setup, guide a junior IT team member, and act as a strategic bridge between technical teams and business leaders. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT leadership to analyze system needs, recommend improvements, and support business goals.
Lead and mentor a junior IT Systems Technician, setting clear objectives and helping them grow.
Review and maintain system documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and operational continuity.
Work closely with the Senior Systems Administrator to prioritize and resolve security risks identified through audits.
Track and report on system performance and project metrics to guide business decisions.
Act as the go-to liaison between IT and other departments, translating technical concepts into actionable business updates.
Support company-wide adoption of new technologies and tools.
Contribute to day-to-day IT operations, including helpdesk coverage and executive-level support when needed.
Participate in or lead infrastructure improvements, patch management, and process audits.

: Involved in vulnerability remediation and security best practices
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or systems-focused role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
Experience managing or mentoring junior IT team members
Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, and IT documentation
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and change management processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with 2-3 in-office days per week in downtown Toronto
