Job Description


This role will be posted until end of day December 15, 2023 Marcon is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to service our growing team of users. Reporting to the Director, IT, our successful candidate will provide day-to-day office and on-site IT assistance, as well as help identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. This candidate will also play a vital role in various system upgrades, including new user setup, and other IT projects and deployments as needed. This role will be based in our Vancouver office.

About the Role

  • Provide technical assistance and support for service requests related to Marcon\xe2\x80\x99s computer systems, hardware, software, remote access and mobile devices;
  • Set up and deploy new employee hardware including workstations, telephones and printers;
  • Maintain inventory tracking and control of hardware and software;
  • Inform users of new systems, procedures, and status of service requests, providing education/instruction where appropriate;
  • Create and maintain documentation as our environment changes.

About You
  • 2+ years IT support experience and education;
  • Provide excellent user experience with solid verbal and written communication;
  • Very organized and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office 365 and networking;
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, and able to work independently to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Good security awareness and able to follow Marcon\xe2\x80\x99s cybersecurity practices;
  • Able to support our distributed workforce with a combination of remote and in person assistance and have a vehicle and class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license to travel to any of our site locations throughout the Lower Mainland;
  • Effective in a fast-paced environment, where you are able to manage your time and communicate effectively to meet deadlines and expectations.

Our competitive compensation package has been designed to reward our employees\xe2\x80\x99 skills, competencies and performance that align with our culture. The compensation range for this role is $50,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
