It Support Analyst

Job Description


As our Calgary client's IT infrastructure continues to expand, they are seeking an IT Support Analyst to join their dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position is based in Calgary, Alberta, with a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will provide a wide range of IT support, including hands-on desk-side assistance, systems administration, vendor management, and strategic input. This role will also work closely with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) to ensure smooth IT operations.Our Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the MSP and third-party providers to deliver exceptional IT support to staff and directors
  • Collaborate with the MSP on:
  • Support Ticket Monitoring: Ensure timely and effective resolution of IT support tickets
  • Hardware & Network Support: Assist with laptop deployment, troubleshooting, peripherals, and on-site infrastructure (network, MFPs, AV)
  • Desktop Application Support: Provide hands-on support for common applications
  • Telecommunications Support: Manage and support the VOIP phone system and mobile devices
  • Cybersecurity: Enforce IT security policies, conduct user education, monitor activity, and respond to incidents
  • Asset Analysis & Cost Optimization: Conduct quarterly reviews of IT assets and software licenses, ensuring accurate MSP invoicing
  • IT Strategy & Initiatives: Participate in IT projects and strategic discussions
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Entra, SharePoint, Intune)
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Previous IT experience in the oil and gas sector is an asset
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Core hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
  • Occasional work outside core hours as needed
