Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. requires a new I.T. Solutions Specialist (Full-Time) to provide excellent user support and administer their growing I.T. infrastructure. Reporting to the I.T. Manager, the I.T. Solutions Specialist is the person who knows how to get things done. They are the first point of contact for end user support and have the sysadmin chops to work on servers, deployments, networking, and maintenance of I.T. managed assets. This is a very hands-on role and is not for the faint of heart. This is a role for someone who's seen a few things and is ready to make a real impact by helping modernize our environment.

The Role:



Resolve end-user IT issues, such as password resets, PC hardware problems, Internet connectivity, printing problems, and so on. Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Perform in-person, on-site repairs of PC hardware, printers, and other peripherals Image/deploy workstations to users as needed Patch and update software as needed Accurately log helpdesk tickets and resolutions into helpdesk ticket system Write documentation for end-users and IT staff Compile, maintain, and file all repair records, reports, and other documents as required Being friendly and approachable, while maintaining professionalism Proactively work with I.T. Manager to improve I.T. infrastructure and services Research and continuous improvement of knowledge are expected Being mindful of privacy and maintaining confidentiality Assist I.T. Manager as required
Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent. 2 - 4 Years of experience working in I.T. Deeper knowledge of many computing concepts; DNS, DHCP, AD DS, VLAN, VPN, etc. Demonstrated experience working with physical and virtual servers Demonstrated knowledge of deploying Windows 11 operating systems Experience working with Windows, Debian GNU/Linux, MacOS, iOS operating systems Experience working with ABM and commercial MDM solutions would be an asset Any held certifications would be considered assets. A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage competing priorities. Excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Able to bend, crouch, and kneel for short periods.

Able to reach and stretch above and below body.

Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Working with hands and hand tools.
