Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Solutions Developer I to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.
Contract Period: 8 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $34 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday; Core Business Hours
Job Responsibilities:

• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs
• Write, test and debug code according to specifications provided by senior staff
• Participates in code reviews
• Contractor will escalate unresolved issues to senior staff
• Ensure consistency in coding standards
• Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term
• Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required

Experience & Qualification Requirement:

• Computer Science Degree
• 2 Years of Developer Experience
• Experience working with as a Developer with Html/CSS and JavaScript coding with the ability to code with good quality (Need to be able to Code/update code/code from scratch)
• Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic, MS Access, and MS Excel
• Knowledgeable in using built-in browser dev tools to understand web site API methods
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with SQL Databases
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are an asset
• Experience working in an Agile operating model using JIRA/Confluence would be beneficial
