Job Description

Working on a project with the Department of National Defence, the IT Security Design Specialist will be responsible for developing, installing, configuring, and testing endpoint protection and network security technologies.
Required capabilities include:

• A minimum of three years of experience developing, installing, configuring, and testing any of the following endpoint protection security capabilities in an enterprise IT environment.
• A minimum of three years of combined experience developing and implementing network security solutions.
• A minimum of three years of experience implementing Microsoft security capabilities
• A minimum of three years of experience implementing McAfee/Trellix host-based endpoint security policies
• Experience supporting a minimum of 30,000 workstations across multiple geographies
• Demonstrated work experience configuring at least 5 of the following: Anti-Virus; Data Loss Prevention (DLP); Data Labeling, Enterprise Data Rights Management (EDRM); Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR); Host Firewall, Malware Analysis/Reverse Engineering; Application Control; Host Intrusion Prevention; Data labeling and protection; User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA); Full Disk Encryption (FDE); Removable Media Encryption (RME)Endpoint Protection
• Demonstrated work experience implementing at least 5 of the following: IDS/IPS; Firewalls/UTMs; Full Packet Capture; Proxies; Load Balancers; Matrix Switches/Taps; Database Activity Monitoring; Network Access Control (802.1x); and/or Other Content Inspection systems.
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: ISC2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP); ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP); ISC2 Systems Security Certified Professional (SSCP); Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) certification.
• Experience working for a Federal or provincial government client is considered an asset
• Must have or qualify for a secret-level security clearance with PSPC.
