Position Summary
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and risk mitigation? We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and take ownership of critical aspects of our IT security environment. This role is responsible for conducting security audits, risk assessments, and incident response, as well as recommending and implementing security enhancements across our systems.
You'll play a vital role in securing the organization's IT infrastructure, leading new security initiatives, managing vulnerabilities, and working alongside Infrastructure teams to ensure best practices in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability & Risk Management
Identify and assess risks in internal and third-party systems.
Classify threats based on risk ratings, ease of exploitation, criticality, etc.
Coordinate remediation efforts with system and service owners.
Security Incident Response
Act as the first responder for security breaches and account compromises.
Maintain forensic integrity and assist law enforcement as needed.
Lead internal incident investigations and coordinate with external security vendors.
Security Infrastructure Management
Maintain and upgrade firewalls, VPNs, and IPS systems.
Develop custom threat signatures and implement intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Monitor and enhance threat intelligence capabilities.
Anti-Malware Systems
Manage enterprise-wide anti-malware platforms and sandbox solutions.
Analyze alerts and review malware samples for false positives/negatives.
Correlate behavioral indicators to identify potential breaches.
Security Awareness & Training
Deliver internal presentations on cybersecurity topics.
Work with cross-functional teams to build effective training programs.
Infrastructure & Support
Assist Infrastructure team with design, implementation, and support tasks.
Participate in after-hours incident resolution and upgrades.
Reporting
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), training effectiveness, and security incidents.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
Degree or diploma in IT or related field.
5-15 years of experience in a security-focused role.
Certifications (preferred)
CEH, GSEC, OSCP, CCNP Security, Security+, CISSP.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, encryption, firewall/VPN/IPS systems, and vulnerability management.
Expertise in Microsoft Defender suite, Sentinel SIEM, and cybersecurity reference architecture.
Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Windows/Mac/Linux, and both Azure and AWS environments.
