Position Summary
Our IT rotational development program provides exposure to multiple areas of IT within a large, global organization. The program is more than a one-year paid internship. It provides hands-on experience, mentorship, network building as well as develops new skills and capabilities that builds a foundation that will take you anywhere.
This position will experience cross-functional collaboration and participate in projects with significant visibility and impact throughout our business. Shawcor\'s IT rotation program lasts 1 year and will shift to a different IT area every 3 months. The rotation for this role will provide experience in our IT Support, Infrastructure, Security and Enterprise/DevOps teams. In each rotation, this person will focus on projects that support Shawcor\'s business strategies along with day-to-day responsibilities within each IT area.

Duties

• Perform assigned day to day activities within each rotational assignment.
• Provide suggestions and help drive improvement within the day-to-day work assignments.
• Perform assigned project work.
• Prepare and make presentations that provide updates on projects for leadership as needed.
• Prepare and make a presentation to the IT leadership team at the end of each rotation outlining accomplishments, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commit to the full 1-year program.
• Relevant IT experience preferred but not required.
• Currently enrolled in an IT degree program with a co-op requirement component or must have graduated from an IT degree program in 2022/2023.
• Candidates must show a passion for IT and a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present information.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
