The successful candidate will support all aspects of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) function for Digital Business and Technology Solutions (DBTS). Data quality and reporting on IT risk activities are key accountabilities. What will you do?

• Support oversight and provide reporting on Key Risk Indicators, Key and Emerging Risks, Operational Risk Events, and Risk & Control Self Assessments.
• Support risk programs including Records Management, Privacy Impact Assessments, and Business Continuity Plans.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across DBTS, Business and Corporate partners.
• Support the evolution of the integrated risk framework for DBTS; enable governance, monitoring and reporting for DBTS risk and compliance management programs.
• Contribute to IT operational risk management reporting to ensure that key enterprise-wide operational risk themes can be communicated to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to implement systems and process solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support DBTS with interactions regarding risk reporting with 2LOD and risk partners.

What you need to succeed:

• A post secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or Business Administration
• Relevant IT / best practice certifications (ITIL, Risk, GRC, Privacy etc.) an asset

Preferred skills

• Knowledge in IT Operational Risk Management, preferably in the financial services industry
• Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational, relationship building and influencing skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with Sun Life Risk Management Framework and risk management polices an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
