Senior IT Project Manager

Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2 days a week)

6 months (potential for extension of contract)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our fast-paced Architectural Data and Analytics team. This role has opened due to increased workload and the need to reduce the involvement of the Project Director in day-to-day delivery. The successful candidate will lead a complex data-focused program consisting of multiple workstreams, driving execution with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
a? Lead and manage a multi-workstream data program from initiation through delivery.
a? Collaborate with cross-functional teams including contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
a? Utilize project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) to track progress, manage risks, and report status.
a? Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
a? Drive decision-making and problem-solving independently, with a strong sense of ownership.
a? Ensure infrastructure services are implemented effectively and meet business needs.
Must-Have Qualifications
a? 10+ years of experience in project/program management, ideally within data domains.
a? 5+ Strong proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
a? 5+ Years of experience using BI Tools for project reporting (Power BI, DataBricks, Alteryx)
a? Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
a? Proven ability to lead projects independently with minimal oversight.
a? Experience with core project management methodologies and tools.
Nice-to-Have Skills
a? Experience with people change management initiatives.
a? Background in financial institutions or regulated environments.

a? Prior involvement in infrastructure service implementations impacting large business units.
