About the Role
Teranet is currently looking for an IT Project Manager within our IT Ontario Registry Team to deliver technology initiatives. You will report to the IT Portfolio Manager and will work with other internal and external teams involved in various projects. You have a thorough knowledge of Project Management methodologies (ex. PMLC, SDLC, Agile), and ensure that recognized Project Management processes, discipline, and controls are consistently applied to projects. You are a self-starter and a strong communicator. and can effectively interact with individuals across business and technology units and at various levels. You have proven experience delivering complex technology projects.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

• 
  Lead the delivery of multiple large to medium initiatives in parallel, from concept to implementation.
• 
  Manage multiple project resources from cross-functional teams, as well as interfacing with project leaders, technology specialists, professional staff, vendors, and consultants.
• 
  Demonstrate strong cost estimation and financial management skills, using appropriate tools and business practices as it pertains to the initiative effort.
• 
  Ability to lead, plan, execute and evaluate project activities to ensure completion of initiatives, contributing to the team\'s direction and function; providing advice to the team, and delivering leadership.
• 
  Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Scrum & Kanban, Agile methodology, techniques, rules, and practices, estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution, and facilitation \xe2\x80\x93 be known as a go-to person.
• 
  Support an environment where the team freely escalates challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of successes
• 
  Understand project interdependencies and demonstrate critical thinking that proactively identifies project risks and establishes effective risk mitigation from the outset.
• 
  Ensure mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks, following Teranet Risk Framework.
• 
  Track Project Management deliverables against the budget and the approved project plan, working with stakeholders to develop the content of those deliverables.
• 
  Monitor and control project deliverables, and make recommendations and adjustments to the overall project plan to achieve deliverables.
• 
  Build consensus and relationships with the project team and stakeholders, through the use of superior negotiation skills.

About You

• 
  Bachelor degree with 5+ years of Projects management experience, with at least 3 years managing Technology initiatives, including Web application initiatives.
• 
  Typically requires 3+ years of experience on an Agile delivery team and as a scrum master.
• 
  Requires Technology background
• 
  Able to resolve project issues effectively, able to navigate challenging situations effectively, able to manage ambiguity.
• 
  Proficiency with MS Office PC software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• 
  Proficiency with Tools: JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Workday.
