Job Description

Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the IT Project Management Team Lead, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for projects of varying size and complexity. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of analysis, design, development, and implementation of programs/projects.

Main Responsibilities

Coordinate projects, produce status reports, and manage resources associated with various projects. Manage one or more projects of medium to high complexity. Guide teams and develop project plans while tracking daily project progress. Identify resource needs, monitor project progress, and escalate functional, timeline, or quality issues to relevant stakeholders. Track key project milestones and adjust plans and resources accordingly. Oversee all project communications and manage budgets, scope, and risks. Collaborate closely with management to provide direction, necessary support, and recommendations on optimal resource use to meet project objectives. Ensure technical aspects and business processes are effectively integrated to meet the needs and requirements of different business units. Build strong business relationships with partners and vendors to maximize their contributions and project outcomes. Stay up to date with the latest trends in project management. Work closely with all teams across the company.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent in Project Management. 3 to 5 years of experience in IT, including at least 2 years in IT project management and digital transformation. Experience managing projects involving multiple technologies and functionalities. PMP certification is an asset. In-depth knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Fluency in both spoken and written English and French (required for working with English-speaking vendors). Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with non-technical staff and team members. Experience working with SDLC and deliverables associated with each phase. Experience in resource estimation and delivery planning. Ability to multitask and keep projects on schedule. Strong interest and knowledge of the retail industry. Strong negotiation, decision-making, and initiative-taking skills. Strong interpersonal skills, customer service mindset, and team spirit. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
