Location:

This role which requires at least 3 days on-site at our office in Burnaby and 2 days remote per week.




Salary:

$75,000 - $90,000


Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience

We also offer quarterly variable compensation package (bonus) + benefits

What You'll Do





The Technology team provides the IT services that helps our business run and grow. This is by giving our store and support office colleagues the tools and equipment that enable them to be great at what they do, which is to help our customers.


Purpose of the role





The IT Portfolio PMO Coordinator provides essential support to the Technology Delivery function by coordinating portfolio activities, maintaining project governance documentation, and ensuring adherence to governance processes. This role is key to enabling visibility, consistency, and efficiency across the IT delivery portfolio.


Key Responsibilities





Coordinate portfolio level meetings, reviews, and reporting cycles



Ensure adherence to project and portfolio documentation, including status reports,


risk logs, and dashboards



Oversee the intake and prioritization process for new IT initiatives



Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across the portfolio



Assist in resource planning and capacity tracking



Ensure compliance with PMO standards, templates, and methodologies



Support continuous improvement of PMO tools and processes



Liaise with delivery managers, business analysts, and business partners to gather and validate project data



Facilitate discussions with business partners to ensure alignment on priorities



Develop and maintain roadmaps to provide alignment across all technology initiatives within the IT portfolio




What We're Looking For




Essential




IT Portfolio Management -

Experienced in managing complex IT project portfolios, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps


Technology Governance & Compliance

- Skilled in enforcing IT governance frameworks and leading project governance forums


Change Control & Prioritization -

Competent in managing portfolio level change requests, assessing impacts, and supporting prioritization decisions in alignment with business goals.


IT Risk & Dependency Management -

Capable of supporting the management of technical risks, interproject dependencies, and change impacts across multiple business areas


Stakeholder Communication in Tech Environments -

Adept at translating technical project updates into business language for senior management and business leads, fostering transparency and alignment.


Tool Proficiency -

Proficient in IT project and portfolio tools such as Jira, Confluence and MS Project


Continuous Improvement & Lessons Learned -

Committed to driving continuous improvement through retrospectives, post implementation reviews, and knowledge sharing across IT functional teams.


Nice to have



Reporting & Analytics -

Ability to develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports using tools such as Power Bi and Excel to provide actionable insights on portfolio performance


Experience in Project/Portfolio Coordination

- Demonstrated experience supporting complex IT portfolios across multiple business areas.
