Beam Radiology is seeking a motivated and technically-minded Technical Operations & Content Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level hybrid role combining essential application support with specialized clinical content design.
The successful candidate will use strong logical and technical aptitude to optimize clinical workflows and provide first-rate support. We are looking for a recent technical graduate (0-2 years of experience) who possesses a passion for process improvement and a high degree of organization.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Content Design & Implementation: Create, review, and edit clinical worksheets, protocols, and documentation templates within a logic-based application, ensuring meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
Workflow Optimization & Analysis: Logically dissect and map clinical workflows. Gather requirements directly from clinical staff and technologists to identify and implement technical changes that improve overall clinical efficiency.
Application Support & Troubleshooting: Provide direct technical and application support to end-users via phone and email.
Client Training: Deliver effective client training and support.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Education: Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related technical field.
Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with application support principles, demonstrating a strong logical approach to technical problem-solving.
Communication & Documentation: Fluency in clear, professional English (verbal and written) is essential. Must possess excellent documentation skills and a demonstrated ability to take meticulous notes.
Interoperability Standards: Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and IHE standards is highly beneficial (asset).
Industry Experience: Experience in a radiology or healthcare environment is an asset, but not required.

Work Environment & Schedule
Standard Hours with On-Call: This role primarily operates during regular business hours, with some after-hours work and participation in an on-call rotation.
Local Travel: The ability to travel within Calgary and the surrounding area for clinic and data center visits is required as needed.
Hybrid Work Model: You'll primarily work from our Trinity Hills clinic in Calgary (3-4 days per week), engaging in typical office tasks like prolonged sitting and computer keyboarding. Occasional work-from-home opportunities will be available after initial training is complete.

Pay: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
