We at Drax are looking for a IT Infrastructure Operations Analyst as a part of our dynamic IT team, based in Prince George, BC. At Drax, we are working towards a zero-carbon, sustainable future and you can help make this future a reality. IT Infrastructure Operations Analyst (Prince George, B.C.) So, what will you be doing? In this role, you will be responsible for working within the Operations support teams to contribute to the configuration, maintenance and operation of technologies within the technology tower and work with multi-disciplined project teams to deliver new systems and functionality within the Drax environment.
This position works within the IT Operations team, as part of Group IT, across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and test the various components of the environment within the technology tower
- Provide day to day maintenance, patching, monitoring, performance, capacity and availability management of the environment
- Monitor the environment to provide full visibility to performance, availability and compliance to agreed service levels
- Produce regular reviews, reports and audit logs for compliance
- Work with Group IT Operations support teams to assist with escalations and requests
- Support the development of installation and training (end users and admin) documentation in-line with industry best practice
- Support the ongoing analysis of the infrastructure using an array of tools and continually work towards optimising performance
- Adherence to and participation in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including, but not limited to, Change, Incident and Problem Management, specific to the application of ITSM across the Drax Group
- Support the collection of relevant internal and external audit evidence
- Support the creation and execution of the Group IT DR testing schedule
- Analyse all operational issues and problems to support continual service improvement
- Input into regular reporting cycles for operational and governance purposes
- Embrace and demonstrate a customer centric approach to service delivery
- Other relevant duties as requested
- Located in Prince George, B.C.
- Specific experience and knowledge of relevant technologies
- Knowledge of pro-active monitoring and system management tools
- Knowledge of IT security best practices
- Up to date industry certification
- Excellent documentation skills
- Analytical and logical thought processes
- Knowledge of ITSM best practices and service level management
- Experience of working with industry third party suppliers
