IT Network Engineer

to join our Vancouver office. This role is perfect for professionals who excel in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure IT operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks for the company. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system efficiency. Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, and servers. Provide technical support to staff for network-related issues and ensure minimal downtime. Collaborate with IT and management teams to plan and implement network upgrades. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records. Conduct regular backups, updates, and disaster recovery planning. Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role (experience in construction or corporate IT environments preferred). Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security practices. Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
