The IT Manager is responsible and directly accountable for the delivery of quality information technology support and services to Siksika Family Services Corporation. The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operations. The IT manager ensures the integrity and security of all business technological assets, client information and database servers by completing regular monitoring and maintenance of existing equipment as required. The IT manager monitors SFSC's operational requirements, researches strategies and technology solutions to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient system to support organizational goals.

To the Chief Executive Officer of Siksika Family Services Corporation as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT
systems, including servers, data management, network equipment, operating systems,
telecommunication systems, hardware and application support including remote and home office
settings.
Benchmark, analyze, report and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT
infrastructure and systems.
Oversee the development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to
existing computer systems and software applications.
Oversee provisioning of end-user services, including training support, service desk and technical
support services.
Interacts with staff on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely
manner.
Oversee cybersecurity and compliance personnel and vendors.
Oversee physical IT security operations, including CCTV operating systems.
Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
Manage SFSC websites including hosting infrastructure, back-end administration and assist with content development.
Responsible for establishing and managing the IT helpdesk including ticketing systems and
adherence to service levels.
Develop business case justification and cost-benefit analysis for IT initiatives.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security,
disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcing, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Maintains IT annual audits based on needs assessments, inventory, and operational planning
goals.
Oversees the performance and duties of the System Administrator, IT Technician and Database
Administrators.
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with SFSC management
and end users regarding IT activities.
Support CEO and Finance Manager with regular reporting and KPIs.
Actively participating in strategic business planning pertaining to Information Technology as
required.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
Requires strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Exhibits a high standard of literacy and demonstrates strong leadership skills.
Possesses knowledge of aboriginal or Siksika culture, language and history.
Possesses knowledge of current technologies and trends.
Ability to communicate technical information thoroughly and with ease to those who require
assistance.
Ability selecting and managing technology vendors.
Ability to plan, create, program and manage customized or standard application software and
database structure/systems.
Ability to plan, implement, test and troubleshoot computer systems/peripherals/software.
Possesses knowledge and understanding of LAN administration in a secure environment.
Possesses knowledge of a range of network systems, protocols, and applications.
Possesses knowledge of data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
Possesses the ability to prepare narrative reports, plans, and schedules, such as business plans, work plans, project and strategic plans.
Possesses the ability to prepare reports and present the financials to SFSC Board of Directors and the CEO.
Professional Designation/Certifications:
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field.
Clean criminal record check and CYIM check.
Education/Experience/Training:
Minimum 5 years managing a highly effective IT platform.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Valid Alberta driver's licence and have regular access to a vehicle.
Work Environment:
Physical moving and/or transferring of computer systems, peripherals, or equipment is required.
The position consists of a heavy workload. The IT Manager will work with all levels of staffing
from administrative support workers to the executive management team in meeting program IT
needs.
Work is performed in a typical office environment.
Must be willing to work after-hours as required.
