Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Manager plays an integral role in the oversight of all aspects associated with IT services, networking, platform systems, and specialized applications for a portfolio of offices and buildings across 5 provinces. The IT Manager will combine their management and operational experience with their leadership skills to provide focused tactical guidance in response to the needs of employees. In addition, the IT Manager will have a critical role in keeping a pulse on new and emerging technologies and creating business cases for testing and implementing those technologies within the organization.


The IT Manager will coordinate their assigned team to maximize respective employee, tenant and client experiences. Responding to emerging business needs, while effectively and efficiently managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department. The IT Manager is also responsible for working in co-operation and consultation with the Business Analysis Management team to coordinate and implement new process and technology solutions.

What you'll be doing:




Leadership:

Mentor and coach, a team of IT professionals to guide in their development, training, and performance. Participate and attend manager development training. Establish accountabilities and measure performance for the IT function. Work collaboratively with the Business Analysis Management team to evaluate, select and implement new processes and technology solutions.

Management:

Manage and maintain physical and virtual network and server infrastructure components with third party consulting when necessary. Plan, oversee, execute and report on IT project status' including system enhancements and technology implementations Maintain and monitor software applications and licensing. Maintain inventory of all computers and related peripheral equipment. Vendor management and budget oversight Oversee the management and resolution of IT support tickets including end user support Other duties as reasonably required

Keys to success in this role:



Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a combination of education and relevant experience required 5 or more years of experience in an IT management role 10 or more years of experience in an IT services group environment Must have a deep understanding of software applications and specifically be well versed in the Microsoft Suite including management of a M365 Tenancy with Azure Strong work ethic and communication skills Excellent customer and client service focus Project Management experience is an asset Ability to obtain and maintain clear criminal records check
