Role: IT Field Specialist Location: Mississauga/Brampton (Onsite) Division: Information Technology, Managed IT Services About The Salvation Army For more than 130 years, The Salvation Army (TSA) has had the privilege of serving vulnerable people in communities across Canada and Bermuda. We are in the midst of revolutionizing our core capabilities to maximize service and mission outcomes. This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now recruiting for a Field Specialist. What You\'ll Do

  • Responsible to provide direction and oversight to all IT (Information Technology) operations, network security and Communications systems for 5 TSA locations in Peel region (Mississauga/Brampton)
  • Manage the technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems, network, and policies in accordance with The Salvation Army standards
  • Inspect and identify the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. This includes determining an appropriate course of action from initial hardware assessment to recommending the need for upgrades, configurations, repairs, or purchase of new systems/equipment when appropriate
  • Manage all Security, Fire and Door Controls systems for the five (5) sites
  • Respond and resolve requests related to technical or non-technical issues on a timely manner
  • Provide training on information technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, mobile devices, and other technical equipment
What You Bring
  • Completion of a diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid with CPR, Criminal Police Investigation Check, Non-violent Crisis Intervention training
  • Minimum 5 years\' managerial experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Must possess a valid driver\'s license, and have a clean driving record
  • The ability and willingness to drive to the 5 sites in Peel region (Mississauga/Brampton)
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Strong sense of integrity with professional ethics
  • Able to proactively recognize potential risks and issues, respond with solutions and engage others in implementing change

Compensation The salary range for this position is $58,719 (min.) to $88,079 (max). Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
