Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive and organized IT BRM to drive innovation and digital transformation across global operations by leading cross-functional teams, modernizing IT infrastructure, and aligning technology with business goals. This role is based at the corporate head office and is responsible for maintaining local IT operations while coordinating with external IT service providers for all operating companies, where necessary. The IT BRM will manage centralized systems, uphold IT standards across the organization, and act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure consistent and reliable IT service globally.
Reporting to the COO, the IT BRM will have the following areas of responsibility:
Strategy & Leadership
Lead cross-functional collaboration with subsidiaries and 3rd party providers to develop and maintain technology, information, data, security and infrastructure standards.
Act as a change agent to foster a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making.
Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, infrastructure and identify IT-related risks.
Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration.
Implement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation.
Develop technology strategy and plan deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration.
Program & Project Management
Oversee digitalization initiatives, including Smart Factory, Digital Twin, and Real-Time Dashboards.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple companies.
Coordinate with global and regional experts to ensure standardization and scalability.
Support in building 3rd party suppliers to support with the workload.
Technical Architecture & Integration
Collaborate with IoT developers and architects to integrate shop floor systems (PLC, MES, shipping systems, sensors) into enterprise platforms, such as UNS.
Evaluate and implement digital platforms and tools, ensuring alignment with the company's reference architecture.
Support testing, validation, and deployment of digital standards and solutions.
Business Analysis, Enablement & Intelligence
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and help select an ERP solution aligned with operational, financial, and strategic goals.
Contribute to selecting the ERP Project Manager, ensuring KPIs are central to project objectives.
Support the design and implementation of data collection and reporting processes for accurate KPI tracking.
Facilitate ongoing KPI review and refinement post-implementation to stay aligned with evolving business needs.
Act as a liaison between IT and business units to promote transparency, accountability, and shared ownership of ERP outcomes.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and statements of work (SOWs).
Conduct process mapping and identify opportunities for automation to enhance throughput, quality, and efficiency.
Enable self-service analytics and "one source of truth" data environments.
Create and implement artificial intelligence strategies that align with the organization's business goals and implement AI use cases that bring value to the business.
Establish an AI-savvy community with business and IT people and create training programs that further promote the utilization of AI within the business functions.
Lead AI project teams and coordinate with other departments for successful AI deployment.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to data governance, cybersecurity, and privacy frameworks in all digital initiatives.
Participate in AI/ML enablement and compliance working groups as digitalization intersects with emerging technologies.
Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 and TISAX Certification for remote site locations.
Supports the requirements as detailed in ISO 8000 (Data Quality Management System).
Ensure employees work in the manner consistent with the organizations established objectives and targets utilizing protective equipment, devices, measures, and procedures as promulgated by state and federal regulations.
Head Office IT Operations:
Provide hands-on technical support to head office staff including device setup, software troubleshooting, user onboarding/offboarding, and access control.
Maintain head office IT infrastructure including endpoints, printers, network devices, and connectivity.
Administer Microsoft 365 tools, user accounts, and Teams environments.
Act as a key liaison with service providers for head office's Azure cloud-based data warehouse, integrated with subsidiary systems.
Experience, skills, and qualifications:
Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge.
5+ years of experience in digital transformation, smart manufacturing, or IT/OT integration.
Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, MES, AI/ML, and cloud platforms.
Expert knowledge of industrial control hardware, software and network operations and capabilities.
Ability to support business units in respective time zones through a combination of travel and virtual meetings.
Familiarity with various digital ecosystem and tools (e.g., MES, UNS, Ignition, SAP, SharePoint)
Desirable Attributes and Experience:
Experience working in a global manufacturing environment.
Ability to mentor and lead technical teams and suppliers across regions.
Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership.
Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
Proven adaptability to work with cross-cultural groups within a global organization.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
Highly self-motivated, directed, and ability to work independently in virtual and physical settings.
Must demonstrate high initiative, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidential information, records, and/or files.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive base salary of $100-120K CAD plus an attractive incentive plan, as well as excellent benefits. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
