Job Duties
The IT and Systems Manager will:
Manage installation, configuration, and lifecycle of on-premises and cloud servers.
Implement security protocols and lead SOC 2 readiness and compliance.
Deploy and maintain enterprise applications and internal tools (e.g., Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset).
Lead configuration, QA/QC, and deployment of monitoring devices and control boxes.
Oversee data workflows from acquisition to reporting, ensuring quality and traceability.
Administer domain services, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and identity integrations.
Manage inventory and logistics for instrumentation and electronics.
Mentor team members and support digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
15-20 years in IT systems administration and integration.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills:
10+ years with geotechnical instrumentation platforms: Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset.
10+ years with GTopo, Nomad Platform, Tact Nomad.
10+ years with Automatized Motorized Total Stations (AMTS), including configuration and remote troubleshooting.
10+ years with SOC 2 compliance and audit preparation.
Expertise in Windows/Linux servers, networking (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls), DNS, and certificate management.
Proficiency in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL), cloud services (Azure/AWS), and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
