Hours of Work:
Up to 36 hours per week, on an as and when needed basis. There are no guaranteed hours of work in this position, however casual staff are required to provide availability such that they are able to work a minimum of 225 hours over any 12 month period in order to maintain employment status.
Location:
This position will be hybrid remote, with a primary work location of a home office and secondary work locations from our Open Door Group offices in Vancouver or Kamloops, based on where the successful candidate lives.
Reporting to the Director of IT, the
IT Analyst
works as a Held Desk Technician and support for the Information Technology team. The IT Analyst will be responsible for the installation, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support of all user's computers-based information systems and local area network in the branch offices. They will also be required to provide guidance and support in the use of business applications. The IT Analysts will be required to work on-site, with the opportunity to work from home as operations permit.
Typical duties include:
Manage the Help Desk function in the IT and Security department's as first line of support and directly representing the IT and Security department's brand to the end users.
Respond to and resolving requests for support through our ticket system, remotely and locally, documenting the resolution for reference and for resolution of future issues
Configure new hardware and troubleshoot workstation/laptop hardware issues.
Contribute to, and maintain, the internal and end user IT knowledge bases.
Assist with setup and deployment of company workstations/laptops and hardware and update asset register.
Systems Implementation & Workflow Automation
+ Deploy new IT systems and applications from installation to configuration optimization to ensure minimal business disruption and adherence to cybersecurity requirements.
+ Build, customize, and optimize Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) to streamline workflows and support continuous process improvement.
+ Create and deliver end-user training programs and develop self-service guides for IT systems and applications.

What you bring to the position:
Ability to interpret requests for support and communicate back to the end user, through the ticket system
Ability to develop a series of steps and actions to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Ability to contribute to and be a part of a collaborative team environment within the IT department and the local office.
Accessible after hours for emergency issues.
Have a keen interest in cybersecurity, infrastructure administration, application administration and be able to develop related skills to support level 1 tickets.
Qualifications:
Technical skill set should include an entry level understanding of the following Windows server environments: Windows desktop operating systems, SharePoint and user permissions, Microsoft Office products, Workstation, and laptop hardware, VOIP, Basic IP networking and connectivity.
Ability to work independently without day-to-day direct supervision
Proven exceptional customer service skills and high sense of urgency
Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential
Strong willingness, capacity, and desire to learn IT administration and cyber security.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
