Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our team with a minimum of 2 years experience working for companies in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal landscape health and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various outdoor environments.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems across residential and commercial properties Conduct regular maintenance to ensure proper functioning of irrigation equipment Operate excavation equipment such as excavators to install underground piping and sprinkler systems Use hand tools and power tools for system adjustments, repairs, and installations Perform landscape maintenance tasks including gardening and horticultural duties to support healthy landscapes Inspect systems for leaks or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements Collaborate with clients and team members to assess irrigation needs and provide solutions Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Skills

Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is preferred Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture principles Mechanical knowledge related to system components and troubleshooting techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment for installation and repairs Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural care Ability to perform routine maintenance on irrigation components and related machinery Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in system diagnostics and repairs Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy materials when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
