The Role
As a
Level 1 Irrigation Technician
, you'll play a key role in
seasonal system maintenance
, installations, and basic repairs. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, gaining valuable skills through hands-on training while building a strong foundation for your irrigation career.
What You'll Do
Perform seasonal maintenance:
Start-ups, mid-season check-ups, and winterizations for residential and commercial irrigation systems.
Assist in installations:
Help install custom irrigation systems tailored to client needs.
Basic system repairs:
Replace nozzles, risers, and other components.
Learn the tools of the trade:
Operate irrigation tools, compressors, and equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain organization:
Keep job sites, tools, and company vehicles clean and organized.
Deliver professional service:
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients while representing WVI on-site.
What You Bring
A
mechanical mindset
and strong interest in learning irrigation systems.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic familiarity
with tools and equipment (irrigation experience is an asset but not required).
A
Class 5 driver's license
with a clean driving record.
IIABC CIT Level 1 certification is recommended, or a willingness to pursue it with company sponsorship.
