We are seeking an experienced and motivated Irrigation and Outdoor Lighting Supervisor to oversee the planning, installation, and maintenance of high-quality landscaping, irrigation, and outdoor lighting systems. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise crews, ensure safety and quality standards, and act as the key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams. The role includes seasonal responsibilities such as snow removal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:



Irrigation Systems



Supervise and lead crews in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. Plan and schedule irrigation system installations, spring activations, and fall winterizations. Preparing estimates and quotes for water-efficient irrigation systems, including drip irrigation and lake-pump systems. Design water-efficient irrigation systems, including drip irrigation and lake-pump systems. Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, controller failures, and low-pressure systems. Interpret blueprints, site plans, and adjust layouts as needed.
Inspect properties prior to new installations to properly prepare action plan

Manage aftercare inspection & monitor all aspects of the irrigation/lighting system and identify any problems

Outdoor Lighting



Lead the installation of low-voltage landscape lighting systems, including fixture placement and control wiring. Design, quote, and install custom lighting layouts for aesthetic and security purposes. Troubleshoot and upgrade existing lighting systems as required.

Landscaping & Site Supervision



Oversee day-to-day operations on landscaping and construction job sites. Supervise the installation of softscape and hardscape features (patios, retaining walls, walkways). Coordinate use of materials, equipment, and subtrades, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes. Develop and manage work schedules; monitor progress and adjust plans to meet project deadlines. Ensure compliance with municipal codes, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.

Administrative & Team Leadership



Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, techniques, safety, and quality standards

Forecast production and prepare daily crew schedules

Communicate regularly with clients to assess needs, explain plans, and recommend upgrades.

Work with property managers, project managers & design staff to understand client/project needs

Maintain accurate records of time sheets, materials, inspections, and job reports.
Maintain and manage all required administrative systems, including but not limited to time sheets, job databases, and service schedules

Manage equipment inventory and ensure proper storage, maintenance, and transport.
Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries

Supervise snow removal operations during winter months.

Qualifications:



Completion of secondary school is required. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or irrigation supervision. Minimum of 2-3 years of field experience in irrigation system installation or maintenance. Mechanically inclined (plumbing/pipe fitting/ electrical experience with a multimeter) Strong technical knowledge of irrigation and low-voltage lighting systems including how to install submersible pumps and other pump systems Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings. Familiarity with soil types, plant water needs, and climate-based irrigation scheduling. Proficiency with tools, equipment, and technology related to irrigation and low voltage lighting systems. Basic understanding of plumbing systems and the ability to supervise pipe installation and connections. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, low-voltage systems and safe work practices Experience with skidsteer operation.
Experience laying sod or seeding lawns.

Knowledge of turf maintenance practices including mowing, watering, and fertilizing.

Proper planting techniques including hole depth, spacing, staking, and mulching.

Proficient in using landscaping tools (rakes, shovels, tampers, wheelbarrows).

Knowledge of erosion control methods like silt fences,

Supervising installation of temporary and permanent erosion solutions.

Skilled in supervising grading and contouring of the land to ensure proper drainage and aesthetics.

Knowledge and experience of installation and design of irrigation and landscape lighting systems on bedrock preferred.

Physical ability to work outdoors and lift 100+ lbs Must be comfortable with phone technology and troubleshooting Proven leadership skills with experience managing crews and subcontractors. Valid driver's license; ability to travel to multiple job sites. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Bondable and clean driving record

Wages:

$38-$45 per hour depending on experience.

Location of work

will be client sites across the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Simcoe County regions.
