Position Summary

Responsible for the full cycle of processing products for irradiation which includes reception of product, operation of the irradiator, assist in the troubleshooting of equipment, receiving and shipping of processed product to customer.

This position is deemed a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW). A Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW) is defined by the Nuclear Safety and Control Act as a person who is required, in the course of the person\'s business, or occupation in connection with a nuclear substance or nuclear facility to perform duties in such circumstances that there is a reasonable probability that the person may receive a dose of radiation that is greater than the prescribed limit for the general public (1 mSv per year for the whole body).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical support associated with routine manufacturing of customer\'s product
• Executing and delivering of internal and external production
• Provide back up to Operational staff in the production
• Maintain excellent records of all calculations, respect of procedures, experiments, tests and estimates
• Assist in the troubleshooting and maintenance of different equipment

Qualifications

• College diploma
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a warehouse environment

Additional Requirements

• Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Operate a forklift and pallet truck
• GMP/GDP experience is an asset
• Shift work

This position requires the successful completion of a vision screening and hearing test as a pre-employment condition.

Training Required: Must complete all required training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker

Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge in electricity and pneumatics is an asset
• Experience in production planning is an asset
• Forklift and pallet truck experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Ability to work independently
• Pro-active, detail oriented and possess sound judgment
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Must be professional, courteous and efficient
• Excellent time management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks

• Soulever, pousser et tirer jusqu\'\xc3\xa0 50 lb sur une base fr\xc3\xa9quente
• Doit \xc3\xaatre capable de monter sur des \xc3\xa9chelles et \xc3\xa9chafaudages
• Op\xc3\xa9rer un chariot \xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9vateur et un transpalette
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience en bonne pratique de fabriquation (BPF) et bonne pratique de documentation (BPD) est un atout
• Ce poste exige la r\xc3\xa9ussite d\'un examen de la vision et d\'audition comme condition de pr\xc3\xa9-emploi.
• Doit \xc3\xaatre capable de travailler sur diff\xc3\xa9rents quarts de travail.
