Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and steel, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for the assembly and installation of metal structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install metal frameworks, girders, and columns according to blueprints and specifications. Perform various welding techniques including FCAW, and Stick welding to join metal components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as forklifts and press brake machines for fabrication tasks. Conduct rigging operations to safely lift and position heavy materials using cranes. Measure and cut materials using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision in construction. Fabricate ductwork and other sheet metal components as required by project specifications. Follow CISC/CWB codes & standards to maintain compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

Previous construction site experience is essential for this role. Proficiency in welding techniques (FCAW, Stick) is preferred not required. Familiarity with fabrication processes and mechanical knowledge is preferred. Experience with hand tools, power tools, machining, pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly tasks is advantageous. Pay: $21.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
