Overhead Crane Solutions Inc. is in search of a dedicated full time Journeyman Welder with Fitter and Iron Worker experience. The ideal candidate must have thorough mechanical and structural knowledge, as well as a strong background in welding, fitting, and working with heavy equipment.

The position requires both shop and field work, occasional out of town work is required, and candidate must be comfortable working at heights. The candidate must have iron worker experience as periodic field work will include leading installations of overhead cranes and supporting structures.

Position is available immediately.

Preferences will be given to candidates with any of the following certifications and experience.....

- CWB all position SMAW ticket

- CWB FCAW/MCAW ticket

- Iron Worker experience

-Electrical skills

- Overhead Crane installation/commissioning experience

Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment. Liaison with customers to ensure continued customer satisfaction throughout projects. Interpret blueprints and schematics for the fabrication and assembly processes. Utilize power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to assist with production and installations. Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to maintain COR compliance (in health and safety standards). Collaborate with Project Managers to meet production deadlines and project requirements. Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during shop fabrication processes. Additional duties as required.
Requirements:

Minimum of five years of experience in a fabrication shop environment, with iron worker experience. Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations. Extensive experience in welding, fabrication and assembly. Strong mechanical knowledge. Focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Adaptable and cooperative - willing to learn new tasks and expand scope of knowledge/responsibilities. Strong oral and written proficiency in English language required. Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
