We are seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated I&R Field Technician. This is a full- time position that requires ability/flexibility to workdays, evening, and weekends as well as on-call, if required. Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills are required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provides great customer service, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations. Preform successful residential and business installations, connections, service additions, and disconnections. Pulling cables, cable terminations, installing equipment, and components setup Troubleshooting and repair Fiber/Copper cables - both OSP and ISW Operate hand tools, power tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner Ensure all equipment setup is professional, tidy, and testing connections Drive to and from locations in north/central AB Work closely with other departments within the company and work independently. Preform various administrative tasks
Requirements:

A background in Installation and Repair of telecommunication services Experience running cables and drilling into various building structures Experience in troubleshooting and repair Fiber/Copper cables - both OSP and ISW Strong understanding of telecom equipment and network setups and problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of tools including light meters, drills, cleavers, fish tape, shovels, and other equipment essential for fieldwork and installations Knowledge of business analysis, continuous improvement, and team management Ability to work with corporate executives and support staff Enjoys working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Positive attitude and customer focused approach Lift 50lbs without assistance Use a ladder Work outside in all conditions Strong communication skills, both written and oral Post-secondary Valid Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract Clean Criminal Background check
Priority is given to applicants who have or will use their own service vehicle and tools (Compensation for vehicle available), both hourly and piece rate options available

Salary range - to be negotiated
