Job Description



We are currently looking for an Investment Advisor to join our team in Terrace, BC. As the successful candidate in the role, you\'ll be responsible for actively growing the business through investment sales while providing an exceptional level of service to new and existing clients. You will also participate in business development activities that contribute to the growth of the business.
Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Identify opportunities by finding and procuring new Investment prospects.
  • Create sales by initiating contact, developing, and nurturing relationships, recommending customized and innovative solutions, and closing the sale.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience to new and existing clients through investment and insurance sales and services that support and align with the corporate direction.
  • Identify product changes and improvements by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Keep the CRM updated with all applicable aspects of investments or insurance.
  • Contribute and participate in the business development of the Investment Department.
  • Actively participate in daily One on One\xe2\x80\x99s, Departmental Meetings and Sales Meetings
  • Review and prepare client information and documentation for client meetings
  • Perform regularly scheduled client meetings, reviews etc.
  • Maintain industry standards of Professional Development.
  • Abide by corporate policies as documented.
  • Follow corporate procedures as documented.
  • Travel when necessary to service the new and existing client base.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years financial services/banking experience OR
  • Minimum 1-2 years investment industry experience
  • Commitment to complete Life License (LLQP) within first 90-days of employment
  • Commitment to obtain Canadian Securities Course within the first 12 months of employment
  • Ideally, you will have some knowledge of investment and retirement planning sufficient to meet the needs of clients and to compete for business in the current market
