Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Inventory Material Handler will be responsible for the seamless processing of outgoing / incoming shipments, perform any and all tasks deemed necessary including but not limited to operating a variety of hand and power tools, equipment and machinery. The incumbent must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items. Inventory management and vendor relations with shipping companies are essential functions for this position. What you will do

  • Coordinate with receiving department on incoming products/materials received and reconcile with supplier packing slips
  • Unload, sort and distribute incoming shipments. Receive products, inspect material for quality, accuracy and process packing slips
  • Report to client all products/materials, overages/shortages and damages received
  • Receiving materials into inventory systems applications
  • Cross checking of product/materials received with orders in the system, to ensure adequate inventory levels are met for job completion
  • Coordinate with client regarding inventory shortages which will effect job completion
  • Provide production team and CSR\xe2\x80\x99s with updates regarding incoming products/materials for jobs
  • Creation of pick sheets for products/materials to be pulled for production in system applications
  • Work with production team regarding any shortages/damages of inventory during job builds
  • Inventory adjustments as required for shortages/damages
  • Execution/preparation of shipping documents for client orders received in system applications
  • Working directly with Shipping department supplying shipping documentation i.e BOL, MBOL, Packing slip, Manifest and placards
  • Coordinate with Shipping department on carriers and pickup schedules for all outgoing shipments
  • Provide client, shipping documentation for all shipments picked up by carriers
  • Manage inventory cycle counts once jobs are complete and shipped
  • Coordinate remaining products from completed jobs to be returned to client in a timely manner
  • Maintenance of sku\xe2\x80\x99s active/discontinued in system application
  • Coordinate with client regarding annual inventory count and work with receiving department to reconcile
What you have to offer
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent;
  • Must hold a valid Forklift operation certificate in good standing, where equipment certification is required;
  • Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail;
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (max. 50 lbs), walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour;
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written;
