The Cannabis Inventory Associate's main responsibilities include tracking cannabis inventory, finished packaged goods, samples, and non-cannabis production materials, and managing associated details in electronic tracking systems. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory control, reliable logistics services, and documentation compliance with domestic and international regulations. The Supply Chain team is in a current growth phase within the Company with many positions open to support inventory management. Success in this role means driving the operational excellence that supports Safari's profitability and ability to serve global customers reliably.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Contribute to record keeping and maintain all inventory controls related to the movement in/out of cannabis within the facility, ensuring accurate reporting to support customers sales orders and regulations documentation readiness.
Manage the preparation of logistics shipment services for domestic and international shipments, maintaining all ship weight manifests entries and compliance to regulations in ground and air freight carry.
Maintain regulatory documentation to meet GMP, GACP, and export compliance requirements.
Develop and monitor demand and supply forecasts that align production capacity with customer and market needs.
Implement process improvements that reduce waste, optimize inventory turnover, and improve cost control.
Participate in materials intake and coordinate QA related activities and data entry functions.
Support manager for duties as assigned
Requirement to wear PPE including but not limited to face masks and respirators (if applicable).
QUALIFICATIONS
Forklift operations certification (can be expired but once granted)
Strong background in cannabis inventory management, reconciliation, and supply reporting
Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, and logistics coordination for cannabis
Familiarity with GMP operations associated to regulatory export documentation and compliance with International Shipping Carriers
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities for vendor and partner management
HOURS OF WORK
40 hours/week with weekend work as needed.
