Reporting to the Director of Resort Activities, this highly capable individual will effectively lead and present all Adventure Guide Programs.

What you will be doing:

• Provide memorable interpretive experiences for hotel guests available for purchase year-round for individuals, groups and tours.
• Facilitate indoor/outdoor presentations for groups of up to 50 people.
• Facilitate all mountain adventure programs including hiking, biking and canoeing.
• Support with departmental media and advertising initiatives, including liaison with travel writers, radio, television segments as required.
• Maintain positive working relationship with Parks Canada and adhere to all park regulations.
• Create good working relationships with other hotel departments including Concierge, Conference Services, Front Desk and Bell Desk.
• Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Director of Resort Activities or Executive Team.

Qualifications

Your skillset includes:

• IGA (Interpretive Guides Association) Apprentice Interpreter Accreditation with 3-season Group Management course required. 4-season Group Management and/or ACMG Hiking Guide accreditation preferred.
• Paddle Canada Big Canoe leader course.
• Expert knowledge of the Banff, Yoho & Kootenay National Parks.
• 1 year of local guiding experience. Minimum 3 years guiding experience.
• Class 4 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 40hr Wilderness First Aid.
• Ability to be constantly physically active throughout shift.
