Damara Spa Toronto is a luxury spa and wellness brand with locations in Yorkville and at The Westin Harbour Castle. We host monthly themed events at our Yorkville flagship to showcase premium skincare, wellness rituals, and partner brands--creating memorable, high-touch guest experiences.

The Role

We're looking for a detail-loving, people-first Intern / Student Event Planner (or Junior Event Planner) to help design and deliver our monthly Yorkville events from concept to curtain call. You'll collaborate with ownership and marketing to build experiences that drive RSVPs, foot traffic, and retail/service bookings.

What You'll Do

Plan monthly events end-to-end: theme & run-of-show, timelines, checklists, floor plans, staffing, and day-of execution Vendor & partner coordination: outreach, quotes, sampling/activations, and simple agreements Guest list & RSVP management: Eventbrite/Calendly/Google Forms, confirmations, reminders, on-site check-in Budget & logistics: basic budgets, purchase tracking, deliveries, permits, insurance confirmations, post-event reconciliations Marketing support: brief creative for social/email, request assets, write short blurbs, coordinate photography Sponsorship & gifting: identify partners, craft pitches, manage gift bags and thank-yous Post-event reporting: attendance, costs, feedback, photos, and recommendations for the next event
You Are

Currently enrolled in (or recent grad of) Event Management, Hospitality, PR/Marketing, or Communications Obsessed with checklists, timelines, and guest experience; calm under pressure A confident communicator (email, phone, in-person) with a polished, friendly tone Proficient with Google Workspace; bonus if you've used Canva, Eventbrite, or Mailchimp/Klaviyo Able to lift/shift light event materials and be on your feet during events
Commitment & Compensation

Hours: vary week to week based on event cycle (planning, setup, hosting, teardown) Intern / Student Placement: for-credit (school agreement required) or modest stipend for non-credit placements Junior Event Planner (paid): Ontario minimum wage (hourly), paid bi-weekly
