Job Title: Event Planner and Marketing Coordinator

:

Part-Time Contract Position

Ideally suited for a student with day time availability, or someone looking for part time work.

This position requires someone who is outgoing, enjoys meeting new people, is self motivated, and can work efficiently on their own. While there are other colleagues to report to and ask questions, the majority of the work is done independently.

Duties:

Availability: An aspect of this job involves event planning, and being present at these events. There are 5 monthly events and they are always held at the same time each month and are as follows:

Lunch from 11:45am to 2pm - 1st Tuesday or Wednesday of the month

Lunch from 11:45am to 2pm - 2nd Thursday of every month

Meeting 9:15am to 11:00am - 2nd Tuesday of every month

Lunch from 11:45am to 2pm - 3rd Thursday of each month

Happy Hour from 3:45pm to 6:15pm - 4th Thursday of each month

In addition to hosting these meetings, the successful applicant would be expected to work about 5 hours a week remotely on tasks such as event planning, social media posts, email blasts, etc. Training will be provided on the job.

Work Experience, Education and Other Requirements:

? Superior and accurate keyboarding skills

? Proficient with Word, Excel and other related programs

? Strong organizational skills

? Must be a self-starter and be task-oriented

? Multi-tasking ability is a must

? Proficient with internet research

? Strong English in written and spoken form with superior grammar

? Must be fluent in English

? Social media expertise and skills in at least Meta (Facebook), X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram; and Tiktok is a huge asset

? Website editing/creation experience is an asset

? Driver's license and a car is required

? Good event planning skills

? An entrepreneurial spirit is also an asset as we work on numerous business and event projects from time to time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
